(1) Magnetic Sealing:

Magnetic fluid, also known as ferrofluid, features controllable physical properties via magnetic fields, combining the fluidity, lubricity, and sealing properties of a liquid carrier. It is a stable colloidal system formed by highly dispersed nanoscale magnetic particles in a liquid. It can be used for rotating shaft sealing (dynamic sealing) in mechanical seals. Leveraging its dual nature as both a fluid and a magnetic material, it can be adsorbed in the gaps of magnets or electromagnets to seal two relatively moving objects, forming a liquid O-ring. Applications include precision instruments, machinery, gas sealing, vacuum sealing, and pressure sealing. Advantages include minimal sealing fluid usage, shock resistance, low mechanical wear, low friction, low power consumption, self-lubrication, wide speed adaptability, simple structure, low requirements for shaft machining precision and smoothness, and reliable sealing.

(2) Utilizing the magnetic properties and deep black color of nano Fe₃O₄ powder, it can be used to produce magnetic recording materials, high-gradient magnetic separators, microwave absorbing materials, special coatings, and electrostatic copier developers.
